Mulyana W Kusumah meninggal dunia sekitar pukul 21.30 di rumah kediamannya, daerah meruya jakarta. Penyebab meninggalnya mulyana karena stroke dan penyakit komplikasi yang dideritanya sejak sebulan terakhir. Sempat dirawat di rumah sakit dharmais jakarta, namun 2 hari sebelum meninggal, mantan anggota KPU itu pulang ke rumahnya atas permintaan keluarga.
