Clint Eastwood memiliki nama lahir Cliton Eastwood Jr., lahir di San Francisco, California, AS, 31 Mei 1930. Ia dikenal sebagai sutradara, aktor, komposer, penulis dan produser. Eastwood dikenal luas setelah berperan sebagai Harry Callahan dalam film serial DIRTY HARRY (1977) dan juga perannya sebagai Man with No Name dalam film DOLLARS TRILOGY.
Clint mengawali karirnya dengan membintangi film berbuget rendah REVENGE OF THE CREATURE, TARANTULA dan FRANCIS IN THE NAVY. Berikutnya pada 1956, ia disibukan dengan syuting serial TV, RAWHIDE (1959-1966).
Menyusul kemudian film-film suksesnya, di antaranya THE OUTLAW JOSEY WALES, ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ (1979), PLAY MISTY FOR ME (1971), IN THE LINE OF FIRE (1993) dan lain-lain. Termasuk filmnya UNFORGIVEN (1992), di mana dirinya menjadi aktor sekaligus sutradaranya, sehingga mengantarkan film tersebut memenangkan kategori Best Picture, Best Director dan nominasi Best Actor dari Academy Awards (Oscar). Begitupun filmnya MILLION DOLLAR BABY (2004), juga berhasil meraih Best Picture, Best Director dan nominasi Best Actor Oscar.
Sementara filmnya LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA (2006) berhasil masuk nominasi Oscar untuk Best Picture dan Best Director Oscar dan MYSTIC RIVER (2003) hanya berhasil masuk nominasi Best Director Oscar.
Sebagai penyanyi Clint telah merilis puluhan lagu di antaranya, Unknown Girl (1961), Rowdy, For You, For Me, For Evermore, Rawhide's Clint Eastwood Sings Cowboy Favorites, Paint Your Wagon, Kelly's Heroes, Cowboy in a Three Piece Suit (1981), dan lain-lain.
Eastwood sendiri adalah mantan istri Maggie Eastwood atau Maggie Johnson, yang kemudian bercerai pada 1980. Ia kemudian menikahi presenter TV, Dina Ruiz pada 1996. Namun demikian pria beralis tebal ini pernah menjalin hubungan dengan Jacelyn Reeves, Roxanne Tunis, Frances Fisher dan Sondra Locke.
